Do you have that one place your mind thinks of when things get crazy? This is it for me! Anna Maria Island, FL. Since here in Florida it is still around 80 degrees, I thought I would focus some of my scrapbooking on summer memories. Here is one of my favorites. Our last summer pic as a family of 4. It was gorgeous out and we were even blessed with a double rainbow that day. Check out some of my page elements below:
I absolutely love the Crazy about you bundle (138873) by Stampin’ Up! I use it all the time! If you don’t have it, you may want to ask santa to put it in your stocking this year. It is a great scrapbooking stamp set and the thinlits are great for titles too! You may asking yourself where did that sun stamp came? ! Well, it is a sneak peek of a stamp set that will be in the Occasions catalog starting in January! It is called Project Life Memories in the making. Happy Monday! I hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend. I was working on cleaning up after the MAJOR festivities here and found this page. I made it for a scrapbook challenge and never submitted it because it was under a stack of papers. Has that ever happened to you?! I really love how this page turned out because it wasn’t over the top and just really focuses on the pictures. Here is my very basic shopping list. You can order these HERE.
*****Don’t forget, there is still time to order some great deals! Stampin’ Up has a cyber Monday sale going on NOW. Be sure to check it out HERE.

Have a SUPER day!
As we wait patiently here in Florida for winter, I thought I would work on a page from last winter. It was officially FREEZING! For us Floridians, anything below 65 degrees is freezing. It was our first family of 5 photo shoot with our amazing photographer friend Tara McGovern. We had planned clothes for much warmer weather and the temperatures dropped so quickly overnight that we were scrambling at the last minute. This page totally came together when I saw the glittery Hello Winter overlay from the Project Life Hello December 2015 accessory pack. I thought the snowflakes made a perfect accent to our “winter” theme. In case you didn’t see my tip from the last post on these vellum stickers, be sure you know exactly where you are putting them before you stick them down. They are beautiful stickers, but are in fact vellum and pick up fibers from cardstock if you try to move them. I normally cut them out and then move them around before peeling/sticking them down. I layered the vellum stickers onto a whisper white circle and then used some dimensionals to make it look more like an embellishment.
Although it’s only fall, I am looking forward to some winter weather. How about you?
Have a super Monday!
This may possibly be my favorite scrapbook page of all time. It isn’t the fanciest page or the most elaborate. It’s my favorite because of the photos. These photos capture so many feelings that came together in a moment. Almost 3 years of praying for our daughter, raising the money to bring her home, the ups and downs of being matched or not matched….all came together in this moment. The moment our family of four became a family of five. This is our first embrace after our daughter was born. These pictures are the focus. Our pictures should always be the focus. I encourage you to get back to the basics….the pictures that showcase the memories. That’s the entire reason we do it. Even when we get distracted with all those embellishments. I know I do it too. I challenge you today to find 2-3 pictures you want to showcase. Make a simple (GASP) page that features the pictures. Join us over on Facebook at Facebook.com/scrappysupergirls and upload your “simple page” and see other friends post their challenge pages. Post your page by Saturday 10/31 to be entered in a drawing for a free prize from me!
Have a super happy day!
Oh how time goes by so quickly! 10 years with this guy and he still makes me laugh. We renewed our vows in Vegas and had these few pictures taken. I finally used the Project Life love story cards for the theme they were intended. I went with the pocket page layout and used the cards as my accents. I kept it simple and clean. I wanted to really showcase my pictures.
