Can you believe 2015 is almost over?! I had so many goals for this year, but unfortunately didn’t write most of them down. So, you know what they say, “Goals unwritten are just wishes”. And that they are….
As I look at this page, I am reminded of how amazing I feel at the beach. My happy place. I have promised myself to be more balanced in 2016. I know, I know there should be an “insert loud laughter” button after that statement. I wrote it down and am making strides to not be so chaotic this new year. Among other things of course 😉 One of my main goals is to get pictures onto pages. Not necessarily to make the most elaborate pages, but to get them done. I am really working on using my Project Life cards in other ways besides the traditional pocket page style layout. I am working on some Stampin’ Up scrapbooking tutorials for 2016 to help us get those pages done together. Won’t you join me?!
What are some of your scrapbooking goals for 2016? Feel free to share them over on our facebook group page HERE.

Have a SUPER Wednesday!
Hello fellow super girls! I hope you had a beautiful Christmas! We were busy around here and have a teething toddler, which is always fun. In between all the running around, I needed a bit of paper therapy. Here is what came out of it. I finally got to play with my new “toys” and LOVE all of my new goodies. I wanted to scrapbook these pictures of my boys birthday and thought this set was perfect! I used the Number of years stamp set with matching framelits which will be available in the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog starting in January. DOn’t have one yet? Be sure to shoot me an email and I will pop one in the mail for you.
This bundle is a must have! These framelits are awesome! Stay tuned for lots of fun inspiration using this new bundle. Also, featured is a free set called HELLO from our Sale-a-bration catalog also starting in January.

Have a SUPER Monday!
Hello there again! I am finally back at my computer after a LONG week of being under the weather. Here in Florida, we are experiencing some rare temperatures for this time of year. We are expected to hit a record high on Christmas day of 88 degrees! It is wonderful for going to the beach and hanging outside, but not so great for allergies. Things have started blooming again because the plants think it’s spring! So, that means my allergies are going crazy making me feel awful!
I posted the left side to this page about two weeks ago. You can see it Here. This is the right side of my double page layout. I have already confessed that I love all things that sparkle. So it is no surprise to you that I used a bit of glimmer paper for the heart accent on this page. HOw did I make it calypso color?
TIP: I took the glimmer paper and punched the heart. Then I mixed some calypso coral reinker and alcohol in a misting bottle and sprayed it. It dries fast because of the alcohol. I had to go over it several times to get the desired color. You can do this with any of our classic reinkers. Mix a few drops with alcohol in a mister bottle and VIOLA! I find it works best with the dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. You can order it here.
Stampin’ Up is offering Blushing Bride GLIMMER PAPER in the upcoming Occasions catalog!! I am beyond excited to say the least. Want to see it and other awesome new products? I have catalogs ready to send out. Email me and I will send you an Occasions 2016 catalog and a Sale-a-bration 2016 catalog.
Have a SUPER Monday!
What an amazing day celebrating this guy! Happy birthday to my honey! Not only was it his birthday, but a new baby was born into the family! It was a busy day to say the least. It’s a good thing these pages are so easy to whip up. The cards are cut, the sleeves are ready, and all I had to do was journal and add a few stickers. This would have taken me a year to document the traditional way. What I decided to do was journal the events of the day in this book and use that as a starting point when I go to make the traditional pages with the rest of the pictures. Lord knows I will forget by then what actually happened. Are you finding different ways to use Project Life? Share it with other scrappers on Scrappy Supergirls on Facebook. Have a SUPER day!
Hello Supergirls! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend and getting some scrapbooking time in. I wanted to share my Project Life pages for December 5 & 6 with you today. I love how versatile the cards are in this set. I used the beautiful vellum numbers that come in the coordinating accessory pack on my gratitude board. You can see that here.
All is calm is definitely the opposite of this kid! She is so fun, but calm definitely does NOT describe her. I love that I can document the everyday moments so simply. I can save my favorite pictures to make the more traditional, elaborate pages in 12×12 style, while still scrappin’ the simple moments.
I NEVER scrap pictures of myself. I take hundreds of pictures a year and very rarely am I in them….especially not alone! I thought I would scrap this pic because it was a typical Sunday, but I actually took some time for myself. Another rare thing in our house. I pray that you get the much needed time for yourself and have a few moments to document life. However that looks whether it be Project Life, traditional, digital, or any other way, I hope you get some time to put together those pages this weekend.
Have a SUPER Saturday!

I will show you the other side on Friday. The pictures are amazing. I CLEARLY didn’t take them lol! The amazing Tara McGovern took them as we welcomed our beautiful daughter. Do you have that one place your mind thinks of when things get crazy? This is it for me! Anna Maria Island, FL. Since here in Florida it is still around 80 degrees, I thought I would focus some of my scrapbooking on summer memories. Here is one of my favorites. Our last summer pic as a family of 4. It was gorgeous out and we were even blessed with a double rainbow that day. Check out some of my page elements below:
I absolutely love the Crazy about you bundle (138873) by Stampin’ Up! I use it all the time! If you don’t have it, you may want to ask santa to put it in your stocking this year. It is a great scrapbooking stamp set and the thinlits are great for titles too! You may asking yourself where did that sun stamp came? ! Well, it is a sneak peek of a stamp set that will be in the Occasions catalog starting in January! It is called Project Life Memories in the making. Would you like a FREE catalog and a gift with qualifying purchase? Email me here.
Have a SUPER Monday!
Just as promised, I am sharing my Project Life Hello December 2015 pages. I have never scrapbooked each day of a month before and let me tell you it is tricky! I don’t have a good photo printer at home so running to the store with the little superheroes is a challenge. Santa has promised me that one will be under the tree for me this year!
Although it was a challenge to get the pictures, I am glad I am doing it. I love the details of everyday life that can be so easily forgotten. This picture says it all. The little Wonder Woman that lives here is always escaping, climbing, and getting into EVERYTHING! She is so sweet and funny, but seriously determined.
I am really trying to keep my everyday pages simple and clean lined and saving the elaborate pages for my 12×12 album.
Won’t you join me on this new scrapbooking journey? Let’s document those everyday moments together. There is still time to get your Project Life Hello December 2015 cards and accessory pack. Click here to get your bundle.
Have a SUPER week!
Hey Supergirls! Today I am taking a small break from scrapbooking to make this cute and simple wreath I saw online. Now before I get into telling you how I made it, I have to admit something to you. I am a Pinterest FAIL type of person when it comes to home decor. I see these awesome DIY projects and think, “No problem!” Then 18 hours laters, in a huge sticky mess with craft items everywhere my husband comes in and reassures me that whatever it is looks fabulous the way it is and I should walk away. The problem is he didn’t see how it was “supposed” to look. I swear they made that website pinterest fails just for me. For some reason though, I still embark on these projects. So for today, I was bound and determined to make this wreath from a wire hanger and ornament balls. So, for your blog pleasure, I will explain to you how I did it in basic steps.
You will need:
Wire coat hanger, ornament balls (at least 80 Medium sized depending on the size you would like for your wreath), hot glue gun, pliers, ribbon (optional), embellishments(optional)
- Find a wire coat hanger and open it up. You may need pliers depending on how tightly it is wound together.
- Pull it apart and shape it into a circle as best as you can. Set it aside, but leave the ends open.
- Get your ornament balls and gently pull the tops up and put a little bit of glue under the “cap” to reinforce so they don’t fall off once they are on the hanger. Be sure not to pull these off to glue them. It will be a sticky mess and surely one that will end up on the Pinterest fails website. Don’t ask me how I know…..
- Once you have reinforced the “caps”, you will begin to thread them on the wire hanger. Just keep putting them on the hanger until you get to the top. You need to push them close together so the wire doesn’t show. You won’t need to glue them together, just push them close while you are threading.
- When you have filled it up completely, attach both sides back together by winding the two sides or interlocking them. You can cover this section with a Box or an embellishment if desired.
- I decided I shouldn’t press my luck with the ribbon or extra embellishments for fear that I would again have a “failed” project. So after on 1 HOUR, here is my finished wreath: I couldn’t believe it!!! It turned out just the way it was SUPPOSED to! Anyone else making a wreath?! Post your favorite wreath over on facebook.com/scrappysupergirls
Have a SUPER day!
